This little leather-bound book is the culmination of a year's work. I came to the realisation that I could let my anxiety define me or I could contain and define my anxiety. In short I wanted solutions not symptoms. I came up with the idea of creating a personal 'bible' that I could refer to when I'm struggling. All of these helpful suggestions and solutions all begin with the letter C. I was actually amazed that I could fill a book with helpful C words, but here it is. I'm incredibly proud of this work. I was able to work on this project for a full year thanks to funding from #ACE and their #DYCP fund. I'm hoping that it will help me and others as I go on this year to do more art and wellbeing workshops.
The title is inspired by Robert Burton's book The Anatomy of Melancholy, which was a lifelong project for him investigating the causes and possible remedies for melancholia, what we today would call depression.
